Bank
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions and concerns raised by our students and course attendees.
Fishing from the bank on lakes and rivers can be daunting for the inexperienced fly fisher. To wade or not to wade? How far to wade? Should I use a line tray? I keep catching the ground behind me! My presentation is poor. Should I use a weight forward or double taper? How far should I cast? What sort of retrieve? What time of day should I start? What sort of waders do I need?
A few hours with one of our instructors on the bank or boat will answer many of these questions for you. To stand next to a competent bank angler, is indeed, not just a fishing experience, but a steep and interesting learning curve to be part of.
Boat
We have extensive knowledge of all of the Midland Reservoirs. You may well have heard that a particular method or line works well at Rutland. You may wish to explore the known hotspots at Grafham, or you have heard that 'the bung' works well at Pitsford and would like to know how to fish it?
Dear Peter, Thanks for the wonderful time. Robert and I have very much appreciated the fishing with you. We would like to thank you. Robert and I have been active in our fishing area near Salzburg again on Sunday 22nd of June. Best Regards, Anton and Robert.
